I have a Stevens 044 1/2 I chambered in 28-30. I built it for my wife several years ago, she never liked rifle shooting, but the rifle fits me to a "T". When I am not shooting German Schuetzn rifles, this is what I grab from the gun safe. Douglas half oct. barrel, Barnett 130gr mold, 11gr IMR 4227. Shoots very well. Let us know if it shoots as well as it looks.
