Load date for 38-55 (Win high-wall) using 4759

One of my shooting friends (non-cumputer capable as he is 84!) has a Win repro. High Wall in 38-55 and he has been using SR4759 behind a 305 grain bullet (his own castings).  He has been sing about 16 Gr and is seeking suggestions for improving accuracy.  Bullets are 20/80 tin/lead, no gas check.  Thanks in advance for any recommendations

You might add 1 gr to that if fixed ammo and cut the tin down to no more that 5%.

What's the groove diameter of the barrel and the twist rate? What's his bullet diameter?
