I'm trying to find a mould for an 1882 Maynard. I only shoot fixed, I have contacted Mr. Brooks and he will make one for me, 4 to 5 weeks for delivery. Have any of you had experience with him or his moulds.

I've got a couple of his moulds and will buy more from him.  All of the dimensions came out as I requested and the bullets are round to within half a thousands of an inch or better.

He and his wife seem like nice people to do business with too.

Chris.

Steve and Gayle are two of the nicest people you will ever deal with. I've used one of Steve's moulds for my 45-70 BPCR in silhouette for a few years now. I had been stuck in AAA for some time and moved into Master shortly after using his mould. You won't be sorry if you order one from him.

I bought my first Brooks mold more than 20 years ago.  He is one of the most pleasant people you could ever hope to meet.  His molds are the highest quality, made as close to your specifications as is possible.

My mold produces exactly the bullet I asked for, one that fit my old Remington rolling block.  Steve slugged the barrel and produced a 423 grain masterpiece.

Been using his 305gr 38cal and 410 40cal mould for the short-line and have a 345gr 'Money' style 38cal mould on order. Excellent moulds and service.

Steve Brooks makes good molds. I have two of them a .40 and a .45 Creedmoor style. Both came in exactly as I had specified. I would buy another if I need one.

I have used Steve's Moulds for 10+ years now. If you have him build you one you won't be sorry. Steve and Gale are very fine people. He also can give you some of the best advice He's a BPCR silhouette National champion. He also builds some very fine custom knifes. Ask him about the vented sprure plate he makes. Good Shooting Mike

He made the finest mould I have ever used.  It is a 45 cal Government style that weighs 510 grains. My 45-70s give the best cast bullet accuracy I have ever seen with this mould.
