More CPA engraving

Ken Burklow just finished my CPA Schuetzen Action. Thanks to all on this site who gave me photos of original Stevens 49's It's not exactly like a 49 but CPA is not exactly like a 44 1/2 Stevens either.

Little more border work than most originals although it seems even originals at times had more than a line border. No work around the hammer like the originals had

Ought to get my hands on the action at Sat's Club match rifle back together next week. Will post when done.

First one was a experiment. CPA told Ken the actions could be engraved after casing.  It went fine and this 2nd one from what I can see from the photos as well.

He told me after the first action metal cut fine no problems with the case.  I won't see it until tomorrow.

Ken's skill is amazing. Number one: engraving is beautiful. Number two: Most engraving leaves small burrs that need to be cleaned up. Can't do that on a tough finished casehardened action. Amazing.
