I have an old nickle-plated parade ground TD.  I probably ought to just give is a good cleaning and a coat of varnish and hang it on the wall but I keep having the itch to do just about the same thing that you did.  Very nice.

Dick, I am impressed!  After building mine I wanted to do one on a Brown Bess in curly maple.  I don't have another action layin around so until I find one that will either get back burnered or I'll sell this stock and start over.  Unless you have an idea where a guy can pick up an action and lock?

Also wanted to mention that Ed Knisley has a sutlers shack at Fort Shenandoah just outside of Winchester, Virginia which is the shooting property of the North-South Skirmish Association.  If you wanted to see Springfield T.D. Parts, Ed will be at the N-SSA Spring National competition during 15 to 19 May '13.

I would suggest giving him a phone call to confirm his attendance.  I've found that by picking up a part to examine it allows you to make him an offer.  In other words, on site with Ed allows you to "horse trade" a bit.
