Pope point pour mold

I recently acquired a Pope mold that's marked "WAX", but no Pope marking. Were these unmarked molds made by Stevens, or were some simple not marked?

Regards,
Ron

Ron, its a rare Pope mould that has his name on it I have only had a few over the years.  Wax is found on both his and Stevens moulds so that is no help sorry to say.
I remember thinking at one time Stevens WAX was in larger letters.
A great find no matter if he or they made it.

Congrats, you have added a worthwhile item to your collection with that mold.
In my less than expert opinion, Tom is correct about most of Pope's molds not being marked with this name. WAX appears on molds made in Hartford, by Stevens and in Jersey City so that in itself is not a good determiner of where it was made. Physical characteristics are a better way to determine where/when it was made.
Hopefully, someone who knows enough to help you will chime-in but photos would be needed to make reasonably positive identification.
Out of curiosity, what is the mold cavity caliber, approximate bullet length and weight?

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.
