It was a consignment gun at Buffalo Arms, built in 1996 with a "B" prefix serial number. I had bought a Montana Rough Rider in .45-110 with a 34 inch barrel for hunting. Great caliber but not real handy in a deer blind or the Florida swamps. This one should be just about perfect. The only thing I would have changed if I ordered it would be a half round barrel

I did not get to pick up the gun until a couple of weeks ago but the pics really do not do it justice. The rifle was shipped in 1996 with semi fancy wood and AA finish, 26 inch standard octagon barrel in .45 2 1/10. It handles superbly and balances right behind the rear barrel sight. This is going to be my primary hunting rifle.
