Any way to get a handle on the DOB of my new lil' rifle?

Stevens Favorite 1894, .32 RF, knurled ring on barrel @ receiver, SN is "C 33."

I'll try to get some pix up soon.

Good pictures will help. Impossible to come up with an exact year but with the references I have I can come up with general time range.

I appreciate it. I understand anything Stevens can be hard to pin down.

There is a reference out there that tells of the serial number order. A "C" would be closer to the start of that system. I have two Favorites, one is a O 625 and the other U 2750 both 1894's I don't remember how many digets the numbers go to. But, even knowing that you can't find out the actual date, just the order it was made until the model changed.
