Good tips all am going to try one.   Agree on Brass not real suitable. On a large bore,  45's 58 cal Minne Ball rifles and Shotguns wood makes a great rod.  Just for wiping though use a brush steels better.

BPCS crowd likes Delrin too. Flexible can work around things easy.  Again just a wiper between shots.
