The National Rifle Association Firearms Museum located in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. is presently featuring its Frank Wesson No. 2 Single Shot target rifle.  The rifle is located in Case No. 46 for those who would like to view it.

A second Single Shot Rifle of interest, would be their Webley & Scott falling block rifle chambered in .450 Nitro caliber.

  Hello Fritz:

There were a couple that I am aware of that were photographed and printed, and I believe that, possibly, Ken Hurst may have engraved one.

Let me look around here and see if I may be able to help you further with your question.

   Regards,

Fritz hopefully someone will jump in with that information. I just moved recently and I have not got to the pile of Journals stuck in a box some where.

We did one of the very first ones of his FWesson #1 as the raffle rifle in 2004/5. It wasa first unveiled as the cover story on the july-august 2004 issue and raffleld at the Fall shoot in 2005 If my memory is correct.  There were a number of "in-progress" articles on it between those two dates.
I do not believe an ASSRA raffle gun has been done with one of the #2s.  I spoke with him at the spring Shoot at Etna Green and I know he has sold several of the actions.  I do not know if any have been publicly completed yet.  Like all of Steve's work they are impeccable in fit and finish; and in reality, far superior to the originals.   I'd love to have one myself, but I still have one of the early #1 actions all ready barreled and chambered in .40-70SS all ready to be stocked that is long overdue on the back burner
