I bought a mystery metal lot on ebay, recognized that there was a pre-64 M70 Buttplate, Trigger guard and 2 swiss buttplates in the lot.  Here's a pictue of all but the M70 plate.  What are the pieces?

I'm particularly interested in identifying the 2 swiss plates, and the detachable tangs.  Both of the swiss plates are cast steel, serial numbered, and were nickel plated.  The stamping on the one is hand done, with a date of 1897-1900 and what I believe are his military unit.  Probably stamped by someone as a commemoration of his service.

The other items are an english double shotgun trigger guard, nicely engraved, a military unknown buttplate, a m70 trigger guard, a nice metal buttplate with trapdoor for storage, a homemade trigger guard, and a stamped metal trigger guard. 

I'm thinking of using one of the swiss plates to build a schuetzen style .22 rimfire on a Hopkins & Allen 922, a ladies model, in their catalog.  I'll probably use the less desirable one, which I think is the stamped one.

The tangs with the screw can be from either a Siamese or an Arisaka; the top stamped trigger guard is from a Remington 721 or 722 - depending on length but looks more like the 721 and the butt plate with the trap looks to be commercial - its shape is not correct for a 1917 or P-14 Enfield and looks much better than those.

That buttplate in the lower middle looks a lot like this one.  Bob

When I saw the Siamese mauser tangs lying there what comes to mind is a low wall I passed on a couple of years ago that had the tangs shortened.  It appears that these could be grafted onto something like that to return one of these rifles to a pistol grip configuration if it is wide enough.
