Pistol primers are to delicate for my old rifles. They tend to moosh into the firing pin holes and get cut off when I open the action. Gets all gunked up in the breech block and causes problems.

Long time ago I did a bunch of experimenting with pistol primers and couldnt tell any difference in accuracy.

They do not fit a rifle primer pocket correctly. To short.

If you're saying that enlarging flash holes ruins the brass for future use and if it did indeed ruin it, I could agree with you. Enlarging the flash hole does not ruin the brass. It makes the flash hole larger.  A very minor amount of brass is removed or displaced

IF the flash holes are enlarged a LOT, pressures go WAY UP and velocity is increased a little.  I'll post the data from Sharp's volume in a couple of days - on the road now - don't have access to it.

I have a bunch of .45acp cases that were grossly enlarged flash holes for primer powered plastic bullets.  Not safe around normal bullets.
