A friend of mine tried them back in the 90's in his 32/40. He thought that they might be accurate because of the reputation they have in pistols. It was a Hensely and Gibs mold. As I remember, He shot about 6" at 100 so, he never tried them again.

Also, because of there shape, they will give the most wind drift of any style bullet.

Edit that to 30/30 Ruger

Oh wait, I do use a .38 pistol bullet, with paper strips in one of my PSRs.  Does that count?

I tried Hornady 90 grain hollow based swaged wadcutters for the .32 S&W Long in my 32-20 Low Wall as fixed ammunition.  Not accurate at all.  I have not yet tried breech seating them.

One of my standard 32-20 loads is the Hornady 90 grain semi-wadcutter.  Works well for 25-to-50 yard shooting as long as the velocity stays below about 1000 fps.  I just seat them by hand in the mouth of a loaded case.  Use cases that have already been fire-formed to your chamber.  De&Re-cap only.  Do not re-size the case.

Both those swaged bullets are cheap & are swaged to about .314.  You may want to run them through a smaller sizer.
