	Hello to all, Firstly best wishes to all for the New Year, I hope this year brings all good health and an appreciation of just how lucky/blessed we all are. Thought I'd share these photos with you all. I'm lead to believe the Trantor "Little Monarch" 300 Rook is a rare treat to see in this condition. Also have a few others Rook rifles that I will load up as well, but this is really my pride and joy. But alas, she is about to go to another home, going to start advertising it here in Australia shortly.

	Thats a beautiful rifle, the first that I have seen built like that and an surprised how much the Thompson-Center Contenders and Encores resemble the stock and action lines don't suppose they copied those lines a bit? Richard

	They're all gorgeous, but that first Little Monarch really is sweet!

	Nice rifles! If I had to hazard a guess, I'd guess their mom was full Maynard, and the dad half #7 remington and half hepburn. dave

	Caithness77, Sir, if the bore of the Tranter your considering selling is as good as the exterior condition, you have a rifle that would retail through a dealer in Britain for between £1,500 to £2,000 or roughly twice as many Australian Dollars. It's nearly always the bores that are in a poor condition through simple neglect in their correct cleaning. There is a lot of interest in these small rifles these days both in Britain and elsewhere. Your fellow Australian Wal Winfer is writing one or possibly two books on them and I'm sure he would be interested in seeing, if not buying that Tranter from you. It would be worth your while getting in touch with him. Harry

	Hello Stuart, The only contact address I have for Wal Winfer is that given in the second volume of his series of books on British Single Shot Rifles Volume 2. (George Gibbs). This is:- Wal Winfer, 19. Castle Wellan Blvd. Hillside 2000. Victoria 3037. Australia. Please be aware this address was given in 1997 when this volume was published. However, I have no reason to believe it is not still current. You could also try Directory Enquiries for Victoria for a phone number and possibly any address change that has taken place. The name 'Winfer' cannot be that common down under. Good luck. Harry

	Thanks Harry, But Wal contacted me this morning through another source. His books are already at the printers, but there is another coming out on break actions, which these rooks are. May not own them at that stage hopefully. Cheers, Stu
