I've just joined this forum, so this is my first this out. I love original oldies. I have 6 Ballards, a very ++ Brown Ballard 44EXL, 1 1/2 that was a junker i got it put together with the original stuff except for the bbl. I went back with a 38-55 part round 30 inch bbl. 4 1/2 in 40-65 everlasting, #2 in .32 long, #2 in .38 long, and my favorite a Pacific 5 in 40-63. I also have 2 Winchester highwalls, 45-90 and 45-70. I also have a Winchester 73 3rd model 38-40, and a Trapdoor Springfield in 50-70. I shoot and reload for all of them. I've been shooting the old single shots for about 15 years. It all started many years ago when i always hunted with a Ruger #1. I started to wonder what it would be like to hunt with the old one shooters without a scope, and i caught the bug.

Welcome to what I consider the best Forum on line. Single shots tend to be addictive. I seem to have lost tract of  how many I have and am still looking for more. Stevens are my primary interst but they are all of interest to me. Sounds like you have a good start.
