My CPA 38/55 about 1/4 moa difference breech seating vs. fixed.  Mostly use the 38/55 fixed due to a match rule.  2nd rifle 32/40 Schuetzen have been breech seating but this year may go to fixed.

Have a new mold for it and if results are like I think they are going to be offhand matches might be some advantage to shooting fixed. Bench match the standard of competition is so high you have to Breech Seat.

Nice outfit you have put together.  Owned all sorts of target scopes 12x Unertl is my favorate

Have two other Unertl scopes. One has been at Parsons now for nearly a year and just can't seem to get them to do the work and get it back to me. It needs a screw in the rear elevation/windage mount that hold the mount to the base. Wouldn't think that should be much of a problem to fix.
Love these old single shot rifles!

sendaro, it all depends on what damage has been done to the original screw. Did it break? Think about it. The screw is stuck in aluminum. If you try to drill it out the drill will try to wander out into the Aluminum. I had a request to do this repair about ten years ago. It probably took me half a day to get the mount setup in a vice so that I was sure it was square and vertical in both plains. Then I started out drilling it out way,way under size, like a .05 diameter drill and worked my way up to the Tap Drill size. I had contacted parsons and purchased a couple of replacement Screws. Don't remember the screw size right now but I believe it was something like an 8-44
or 8-48. Not a common size. May have been a #10 size. As it was when I finally got it out some of the threads were boogered. But the new screw went in and bottomed. And the mount clamp worked fine. If they have already tried and gone bad they may be looking for a cheap replacement mount they can substitute for yours. Hope it comes out alright. Regards, FITZ Smiley
