Would like to hear more about your 7.5x55 Swiss mold.  I'm just starting to toy using the Ideal 311413 bullet in my 7.5.  Here's the 1st casting:
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Bhn 15.4
171.4gr
1.65 length
.550 nose length
.304 ogive @ bottom
.310 GG bands -resized
.311 GC
Note wide GC band which provides for another GG

I use a Lyman 309329 (undersize mould version of the 311329) and it is just about as perfect a match as you can get for the Swiss ball and the K31 chamber.

I had David modify the NOE 7.5 GC mould the guys on cast bullets who shoot the K-31s developed specially to fit the oddball K-31 chamber.
My Swiss "stutzen" is a very late version cut with the same chamber. Its based on the Hammerelli "free rifle" of the late '20's and early 30's designed to handle the later Swiss high power jacketed mil. match ammo.  It's the same single shot Swiss military match rifle that Springfield imported and rebarreled to .30-'06 for the US teams

I had David do away with the GC, add a couple more thin grease grooves and add a thin "stop ring".  It's a Martini action of course and I don't have a breech seater for it so I thought I'd give the stop ring a try.  I'm planning on using it at etna green for offhand next year
I also have a non-stop ring bullet mould for it that I wrote about a while back from that outfit in Salt Lake city, its another mod of the NOE K-31 bullet

I hope to do some casting between Christmas and New Years.  I should be able to get some pics and measurements then.

Hello, John Boy.  Thats a nice looking bullet!  I too have an old Ideal 311413, I use it in an 1898 Krag rifle, and 6-17 dated 1903 Spngf.
Back when I could really see..I could maintain a band of white between the blade front & bottom of the 100yd. bull..shot many 1" groups and better with this "squib" bullet I was using 18.5gr. IMR4227 in the Krag, 19.5gr. in the .06'.  Best of luck!

22 - Yes, is a very nice looking bullet.  Did a Powley Stability Factor calculation on it today for a 7.5x55m = 0.53
