Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place for this caliber but does anyone shoot one and if so what are some good loads for jacketed and lead bullets.I know there are some good metric shooters out there and I don't know where to start.

Thanks,
Jholland

The case capacity is extremely close to the 308 so, any 308 load will work for cast. Depending on the rifle (98's are strong enough for 308 jacketed loads but, reduce 5% to start) I'd reduce by 10 % for jacketed.

I shoot a half dozen 7.65X53 Argentine Mausers, 1891 & 1909. Have not focused much on cast bullets...yet. There is plenty of reloading information in the Lyman reloading manuals, both cast and jacketed. Cases can be formed from .30-06, .270, .25-06 etc. DO NOT waste your money on that crappy Argentine surplus ammo. My groups went from 7 inches to 1.5 to 2 inch shooting reloads.

Lyman makes a .314 mold which I use with 19 to 20 grains of 4227. Shoots well at 100 yds with the old Mauser sights.
