I have a feeling that it may be based on the 1871 Mauser action, a large bunch of these were. I have one that looks like a model 1871 but is a bit smaller single shot in 8.15x46r. They are really nice except when you need parts. Mine is being repaired right now. See if you can get some pictures of it. To me the price seems high, then again maybe not as prices are going up.

If you really want it as part of a collection or for informal shooting, great, go for it.  If you want it as a match target rifle for Schuetzen shooting, stay away...it's not legal for match use with any of the Schuetzen organizations.  Single shot non-bolt action rifles only!

I have an 1871 Mauser single shot action rebarreled with an 8.15x46R barrel from an Aydt. It shoots good, but it is just for fun.

There was a Stahl on Gunbroker with the same bolt action. I guess it is a Mauser action.
