1 piece stock legal for Schuetzen?

I tried to search for this on the web site but to no avail. I wanted to know if one piece stocks are legal in Schuetzen. The following is all I could find in the rule book:

Section 1.14: Stocks
Stocks shall be of wood and patterned generally in the style of stocks found on original rifles of the period, whether European or American. Benchrest stocks may have butt stocks with the bottom line parallel to the bore. Forearms for benchrest stocks shall not exceed three (3) inches in width. Those existing rifles with forearms wider than this not be changed but new equipment must conform to this dimension. The bottom surface of benchrest butt stocks shall not exceed two (2) inches in width. Thumbhole and skeleton stocks are specifically forbidden and shall not be shot on the range during matches even though of an experimental nature. Butt stocks patterned in the free rifle style while not forbidden are not encouraged.

Could someone please clarify this for me? The reason for this question is I have a Haenel Model Olympia and I want to make sure I can use it in matches.

Please don't laugh at the scope. Its all I have at the moment.

Thanks

JMHO but:   I don't believe there is anything in the ASSRA rules that forbids 1-piece stocks as long as it meets the other requirements. ( Although If I wanted to win many center-fire bench-shooting matches at Etna Green I might be lobbying for such  Grin)  Other single shot groups may have their own take on it.

As you can see from the final line of the rule you quoted; while "The Founders" were more interested in the traditional Euro-American-style single shot rifles. They specifically did not rule OUT the International Free Rifle-type rifles based on stock design as long as they met the other requirements--single shot, shooting plain-based lead bullets etc.  (And even that I suspect was more of an aesthetic reaction to the shiny aluminum adjustable butt-hooks that anything more substantive)

While they don't have the lines of the rifles many of us think of as traditional single shots; if I remember correctly that type of stock is original with that rifle and others of that era in Germany.
The ONLY area I can see where you might get some quibbling might be IF you were to enter your scores in the traditional class (w/ era appropriate sights) and even that is a matter of self-identification and local interpretation.
Looks like a really nice legal rifle to me.  But to be certain consult your own local schuetzenmeister since he interprets the rules at your range
Shoot it well and with pleasure.

There is nothing illegal about a one piece stock. Think Trapdoors for instance. They are more unusual, but that doesn't make them illegal.

I agree that one piece stocks are OK. I wouldn't have built my Trapdoor Scheutzen if I had thought different.

Under ISSA rules, you would be in a bit of a gray area:  1.4 Stocks must be constructed of wood and of two-piece construction, where the butt stock and forearm are not joined but independent and separate. Exceptions may be made for vintage guns, but must be approved by the Schuetzenmeister.

ISSA clubs are located mostly from the Mid West to the west coast.  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Well I moved to Wichita Ks. in the last year and I have not been able to find a schuetzen club to shoot with here. I was interested in the "A 21st Century Match" 40 Rod posted about but in the posting it reads

Quote:
MATCH C

Indoor match fired at 50 feet, 40 shots standing on ASSRA #7 50 ft target.  Rifle is rimfire 22 cal., falling block, single shot, two piece stock rifles with telescope sights. Scoring is from TRAILING EDGE OF BULLET HOLE.  Example:  shots must be completely inside the 15 ring, else scored as a 10. Center shots must not touch any black paper to be counted as a center (center is .25” dia.)

As for the sites, I have the oiginal "iron" sites it came with and can shoot well with them. I was just wanting to make sure I was legal.
