Stevens 44 1/2 breechseaters

Had a computer-challenged friend ask what sort of designs are out there on breechseaters that would work on the 44 1/2...I know, you don't really need one, just a plugged case, but my curiosity is up now!  So, any photos?  What do you like or dislike about the different types?  What design gives the best leverage...no, not going to b/s any jacketed bullets!   Grin

Thanks,
David

The Russ Weber seater is hard to beat, I have been using one for years.

I agree with John again, the only fly in the ointment is the Weber seater needs a bobbed hammer spur. The original is just a little too high. Shuttleworth will not convert an original, but if it is a CPA it can be done.

I use a Russ Weber seater with my CPA and did not have to alter the hammer spur.  Maybe Paul makes them a little shorter to begin with.  The Weber works very well but I cannot use it with my tang sight in place, can't get enough room to shoehorn it in, so it's back to the plugged case when shooting irons.
