DeHass rifle actions

Dumb question....these are no longer being made but are there some out there for sale and what would be an anticipated cost if they were? Dakota Arms lists this action in a complete rifle but I suspect they aren't "the real thing"?

Thanks!

To give the respect due to the inventor of this action (the late Dean Miller) it really should be called the Miller, not the DeHaas.  Miller asked DeHaas to help him market it, and in return they added his name to it for the recognition he had in print.  At the very least, call it by it's formal name the Miller-DeHaas.

Dakota acquired the rights to the newest iteration of the Miller action, the Miller F, in a very questionabe/unethical business deal just before their recent bankruptcy.  I don't know if they are even producing the action, they weren't before the Remington purchase, but might have started it up since then.

It's a good action, too bad control of it's production has left the Miller family.

To answer your question on costs, I heard of 2 unfinished actions surfacing recently, they supposedly sold in the $1500 - $2000 range.  I've seen very nice custom rifles offered in the $3500 to $6000 range occasionally.

Guys,
The Model F is not an iteration of the original D/M action, but the Dean and Cyle Miller interpretation of the FARROW that was just getting off the ground when the Dakota debacle Sad took place. They are RARE.

Someone looking for a resale original action might want to contact Cyle to see if he knows of any available. He knows where almost everyone they made is today!!! Wink

Good shooting.
