Believe that is your rifle from the Cabelas website I posted on the previous page. Very nice. Let us know how it shoots when you have some trigger time.

To post a pic, just go below this box when typing and hit the browse button, which allows you to go to the file of your pic on your computer to load the pic. Once you have, just hit post and the pic is loaded with your post. I've forgotten how do so for multiple pic's.

Or, do as boats suggests. You can see he has an 8-groove barrel.

Be very careful buying from Cabelas as I was almost fooled by a Springfield 1884 I saw that was advertised as original with sling but when I drove 75 miles to the store the rifle was missing the sling and I was told that it was not necessary and they would supply a $10 sling in place of the $250 original.

Last time they will see me

I own a C Sharps '75 in 22LR with the set trigger.  Very nice rifle for what it is.  I use it for indoor schuetzen shooting during the winter and I'm sure, with the slow lock time and heavy hammer fall, I'd have slightly better scores with a CPA or other rifle.  I bought it though, for practice shooting muzzle loading muskets and for that, it's perfect.

As for Cabelas, I keep wondering through the gun library every time I go.  For the most part, the used guns are priced at the high end of the scale but last summer, they had a Shiloh #3, 47/50 heavy barrel with semi-fancy wood and checkered steel butt plate for $1600.  The rifle looked unfired.  I really didn't need another Shiloh but...  I'm sure they bought the rifle for a song from an estate or someone who didn't know the value but that's not my problem.  As I get older, I've thought about what my wife and kids might do with the guns when I die.  I have a few good friends that would help my wife sell the guns at a fair price.  Something for us all to think about.

Hope that C. Sharps are as good as I and others have said. Think I just bought one of their High Walls. Should know next week.

Took delivery of the C.Sharps 1875 today. The trigger pull measured 2.5lbs  on the Lyman digital trigger guage, average of 3 tests with all within 4 oz. and nice and crisp. Looking forward to shooting it. Gun is absolutely mint.  Maby it was a high price, but it was in a caliber I wanted, 32-40, kind of a companion to the Ruger #1 in that chambering.
I tried posting photos of other guns on this board without luck. Seems my camera is taking too high kb to post. Will work on making the phots smaller.

Most boards require photos  to come from a web photo hosting site. That keeps  them from getting pictures that are too big file wise.  Some will take them from your computer as downloaded from the camera but not many.  Just get a free photobucket account and upload one or two trial photos it's real easy

My humble opinion, you'll never go wrong with a C. Sharps rifle, no matter what the model, nor will you ever go wrong with a Shiloh, Lone Star, Ramamo, or any other "MADE IN THE USA" top quality rifle available to us. Remember, all the import crappe being forced upon us by, the so called writers don't give a hoot, outside of the "DOLLAR"!  Buy American, you'll never go wrong. Martin 1940D28

C Sharps is having a sale.  10% off one rifle, 15 % off more then one and they allow you to get several people to get more then one sale together.  I got my '75 in 22 LR two years ago during one of their sales.  I ordered a standard stock but was called the next day to ask if I wanted an up grade in wood plus a cheek piece at no extra cost as one was sitting there.  Got the rifle in three weeks.

That pretty quick. I'm happy with my C. sharps rifles. As a matter of fact I waiting on delivery of another. But mine seems to be taking a bit longer as it was ordered in the spring Smiley

Gunlaker - Patience... I have three C.Sharps rifles.  The first took 2.5 years, second took 18mths, and third took a year.  They offered stocks or barrels they had in inventory but I had to be particular.  On all three, i.e., 22lr, 22Hornet, and .32-40, delays were primarily waiting on full octagon barrels from Badger.

I'm not worried. It's easy for me to be patient as I have a nice selection of single shots to keep me busy  Wink
