I'd be curious about other members awareness about a feature. I have a 2nd generation Aydt that is a high grade gun with great engraving and Bill Loos had told me wood that was unusually nice for these guns. It also is a takedown with a forend underlever and while I know this is uncommon, has anybody else come across the feature?

Tim,

Mine is also a take down.  Barrel has interrupted threads and with half a turn it comes off.  Mine is engraved with just a hint of CC left, plain wood though.  I got a nice original rear sight from Loos as mine was missing.
Very nice rifles although mine had been "Harlo'd" before I got it.

Yep, that's exactly how mine works.
