I can also attest to the accuracy of the Mos 120gr .25. I used mine this summer to set a new Quarter bore 5 shot group record. I paired up the mould with an RKS barrel and it shoots great.

40 Rod if you don't mind me asking, what was the group size for your 5 shot group record and what yardage was it shot at?

The accuracy of these various 25's and how it was achieved is a very interesting topic.

How about some dialogue about our various loads.  I'm currently working loads up for my Hoch with a heavy gain twist barrel finsihing a 8.  My bullet is a Borton at 120 grains.

The guys from Fresno that John mentioned were shooting 9 plus grains of 300 MP.  Other winners in the .25 bench class at Raton have shot 7 plus grains of H4227 and 6.5 grains of #9.  I'm also finding good results with the Wolf Russian primer which will not shoot in my other cast bullet rifles.

I'm striving for 1 1/2" groups at 200 yards.  Anyone else care to share their results?

blk43 the Fresno group is not using 300MP they are using 9+grs. of AA 4100 and the Mos 120 gr. bullet. It is my hopes that Jerry_H will jump on board to provide all of the specifics.

If not send him a PM and I am sure he would be more than happy to accommodate you.

blk43 you might be better served to start a new topic on 25 cal. load data so the comments don't get lost in this the New David Mos thread.

This will also make easier to use the search engine in the future to re-locate all of the data that will be presented.

Does anyone know if David has caught up with his backorders yet?
I'd like to have one of his molds in 25 cal.

Just today, at long last, received my custom 7.5 swiss mould from David.  Looking forward to doing some casting with it next week.  It looks really nice, proof of course is in the casting and shooting,  but the mould itself looks very well crafted and finished and the sprue-cut-off plate is a massive piece of work.  I think I'm going to be very pleased with this.

Thank you David!!!!  my very best wishes for a happy and safe Christmas and a very successful and healthy New Year.

Wayne, good things arrive for those willing to wait!  David made a super 22LR that we were waiting for.
