I've never shot the 40/65 but, I have shot 32/35, 32/40 and 45/70 duplexed. In all 3 of those, I shoot 15% of the nominal powder charge with 4759, i.e. 5 gr for the 32/35, 6 for the 32/40 and 10.5 for the 45/70. So, if I had a 40/65, I would shoot 9.5 - 10.0 gr of 4759 in it with Rem 2 1/2 primers and Goex FG powder. If you have a fairly soft lube such as Emmert, you will not have to do anything between shots. I can shoot foulers and sighters and then 10 BR and 10 OH w/o cleaning.

I found FG to be noticeable more accurate than FFG in Goex.

The most accurate duplex loads in my 40/65s has been, any primer, 7gr R7, 50gr GOEX FF, a low density polyethylene wad, 1/8 - 1/4 " compression, base of bullet wiped clean, just enough neck tension to hold the bullet in the case, no crimp.

That load is from the late eighties. Since then I've found the newer black powders like Swiss and GOEX Express, shoot just as accurate without duplexing. Still have to blow tube or wipe between shots.  Sad  Bummer  Sad  I've also stopped resizing my shells.  Stopped using wads too and dont compress the powder anymore.  I can load a hundred rounds in a quarter the time.  Smiley
