.222 Rimmed Brass

Anybody have a source of .222 Rimmed brass? I just picked up a small frame Martini in .222 Rimmed and I'm looking to supplement the 15 or so cases that came with the rifle.

In addition, I note from several reloading sites that the loads should be reduced compared to those for the .222 because the brass might be heavier.  Does anyone have experience with this issue and, if so, what kind of reduction do you recommend?

Thanks.

Im using the bertram brass. I think reducing firingpin size is very important.

40x here is a link to Huntington's where they the 5.6x50R Mag. a long rimmed version of the 222 Remington Mag case. The price is right and RWS is way better than B*****m.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Might want to check the required rim dia. for your rifle as it looks like the 5.6x50R is .429" where the 222R is listed as having a rim dia. of .440"

Good Luck,

I use the  5.6x50R RWS cases in my 32 Miller Short, they will last for ever...... they weight like 35 grains more than the Starline cases I made lately....they still shot to the same point of aim, but I'm sure that the pressures have gone up....
