Looks normal to me.  My fired cases seldom look that clean.

Did they look that way right after firing or after they sat a while.  I've had that happen on very humid days after sitting an hour or so but if that occured right after firing then I'd say it is not normal and your cases probably need annealing.  Does it go down one side of the case more than the other?  I'm guessing they didn't get cleaned right away.  Some of us will carry our cleaning jugs and a decapper with us on the line and decap and throw in a solution of water and Dawn detergent when we get a chance. TNX, for the review & comments. They did sit for a while (forgot to bring jug, etc.), not all that humid. FWIW, they were annealed before firing. Sized, then expanded & lightly belled to allow thumbseat, not crimped (to remove the belling).

Joe, ya' oughta see 'em after they come outa' the ultrasonic cleaner…  Shocked

Can you post a pic after the ultra-sonic cleaner? Been giving some thought to one and would be interesting to 'see' the results.

When the tumbler (corncob w/ "rejuvinator) cycle is done, will post PIX.

FWIW, the first lot, decapped at range and carried home in 1/2 gal tap water w/ a "good" squirt of Dawn, when run thru the HF ultrasound cleaner (same solution 4 oz LemiShine : 1/2 gal tap water) returned VERY clean, matte colored cases that polished "like new".
