If no worries on how it looks might want to look at Champion Shooters or Creedmore Sports web sites. They sell all sorts of front sight bases for modern target rifles Ultimate is probably Anschutz. Used one on my 54 Super Match shooting Smallbore prone. It was twist adjustable for Arp size and did crank it as light changed often.

However, turning 64 here and shoot a lot of iron sights. 17A fronts work fine. They are all I use on my CLA rifles.  Size of the sight housing itself has nothing to do with resolution, Insert does and Lee Shaver makes different inserts for 17A's  I use a bit larger front sight housings on my single shots and it's impossible to tell any difference when sighting through them or my Levers with 17A's Even if Redfield fronts being larger are better they are not a lot larger than 17A's. I have one 03 Springfield with a 17A another with a Redfield and no perceptible difference

Were you will get considerable advantage is on the rear sight.  Adjustable aperture like Merrit's makes a huge difference.  Merrit is now selling one that has a recess for a diopter.  This lets you put some magnification in the rear and sharpen things up nice.  You could also skip the Redfield and go to a good tang sight like MVA's, gain some sight radius and a bit better resolution because of it. MVA offers adjustable rear disk too.

I check all my target sights with a dial indicator. Have had some good click adjustable receiver sights over the years, Redfield, Lyman 48's Anschutz on the 54, Walther on my Air Rifle etc.  None are as precise as a good Vernier tang sight.  Any of the receivers are counting on mechanical precision to come back to zero or proper setting. Tangs you read the vernier and it's dead on every time never any chance for hanging screws or springs.  Advantage to the clickers is you can click while in position. That's usefull when strapped into a coat and sling prone with timed short relays. Lever or Single Shots not important

I checked my front sight inserts and this is what the inside diameters are. Redfield International .670, Redfield Olympic .585, Lyman 17a .405. I use my International the most because it's easier the see the background so that I know I'm on MY target.
If you use the plastic inserts (aperture only), you get a little more. The inside tube diameters are, .75, .71 and .44.

You can get a dovetail for 3/8 slots that has the 1/2 male dovetail for all 3 sights I mentioned (well, the 77 Lyman, instead of the 17a).
