We might be able to attend the Fall Match at Etna Green. Can someone please describe the schedule and course of fire?

Thanks!

Most of the range is set up for 200 yard work. There are matches for bench and offhand, a few are for iron sights only, most are "any sight" matches. There are a few benches set aside for 50 and 100 yard rimfire work.
Most of the time you shoot the match you want when you want. Most matches are re-entry matches. There are some feature matches that are shot shoulder to shoulder. The relays for those events are picked out of a hat and shot in the relay picked on Saturday.
Hope that this helps and we hope to see you there in the fall. If you make it stop by bench 18 I am usually there.

Just an additional note to John and Marty's post in case you shoot any rimfire.   22 rf matches consist of a single entry 200 yard bench match as well as the 100 yard- 100 shot offhand mini-hudson and two different 50 yard offhand matches, the Stich (2 shots on each of 5 bulls--closest to center wins)  and a 10 shot on 2 bulls match.  We set aside 5 or so benches at the east end f the range for the 22 offhand shooting and put up movable backers for them.  the 200 yard single entry 22 rf can be fired off of any of the regular benches.

Camping of course is permitted on-site for a small fee with a limited number of elec/water hookups available on a first come-first serve basis.  (and some will be arriving early in the week)  there are plenty of motels and dining facilities within a 15 or 20 min drive in either Warsaw or Plymouth IN.

We generally shoot 10 relays a day, starting at 8 am (weather permitting). Relays are 45 min with a 15 min or so break for changing targets etc.   As a convenience we have a tractor-drawn wagon with seating that transports shooters from the firing line to the target stands.

Summers at Etna Green can be hot, windy, and "buggy" with the possibility of summer thunderstorms and showers.  So bringing rain gear, wind indicators and bug spray is recommended.
In the club house we keep a stock of cold soft drinks etc to help with hydration.

In making you plans you can check the Etna Green weather forecasts on line at a number of sources.  here is one I personally favor
