Heading down tomorrow morning to help get things ready,  looks like another "interesting" spring shoot weather wise.  rainwear and rubber boot weather.   soggy but mild & "breezy" Fri/Sat at least.
gonna get soaked getting the setup done though

Plans derailed,
I got all loaded up, camper packed last night ready to leave early this am.

But the old Jeep Wagoneer was not.  It had other plans,  it wanted a set of new floats for the carb before its going anywhere.

Might make it down there yet this evening maybe

follow u[p report.

Results should be posted soon.   Conditions were abominable,  at least there was no snow, but extreme winds---even for Etna Green.   From late thursday afternoon to sometime after midnight Sat night we had steady winds ranging between 15 and 18 with very frequent gusts up to near 40. Shootng offhand was more like playing weather-vane than rifleman.
Things calmed down to the more or less "usual" EG conditions on Sunday for those who stuck it out for the whole weekend.  Light puffy intermittent 6-8 o'clock breezes that play hob for the rimfires.

IN spite of that a couple guys who had the skill, and the patience to wait it our shot some really fine targets, including a 100 yd 22rf Kelly that may be a new record once the old data is checked.

Ken and Marty ran a really smooth shoot, in spite of conditions.
I want to give an especial big thanks to those few volunteer members who show up early and help get the range set up for the season,  you guys know who you are.  The guys who just show up at events, shoot and BS and then leave really owe you.
Oddly enough this is the same group of guys who stay late on Sunday and help with the cleanup, and the same guys who stay late at the Fall 22 shoot and et everything packed up and put away for the Winter.

see you all at the end of May
