Does anyone know what happened to David Mos.
Ordered a mould from him in Jan. and have been trying to contact him.
Tried both phone numbers and my e-mails are always returned as undeliverable. I hope all is well with him and his family.
Has anyone heard from him?

David asked me to let everyone know that the bullet moulds on order would be out within 2 weeks.

Super!  A bunch of us have custom UMC 22LR molds on order with David.

I assume you are going to breech seat a .22LR rifle? Where are you getting the Primed Brass? Always wanted to do it but not if I have to pull bullets.

Primed brass was available in case lots a while back.  I think the guys on this forum bought all that was available. Breech seating & duplicating the early BP loads were most of the uses.  I am trying to find something that will give an accurate load in an early Krag Gallery Practice Rifle.

The last Hoch mould I ordered took far in excess of a year to get.

Bnice ...
Maker - ?  They have a T on the head stamp.  Were purchased by ArmsCor and another ammo retailer had 5 boxes of 5000 per, empty primed cases for sale.  I got 1 box and have no idea who bought the other 4 boxes.  Paid $100

I'll be casting pure Pb, 40gr LR, UMC original replicas when David Mos sends me the 2 cavity custom mold.  Then charging 4 or 4.5gr of 5Fg (yes fines that went through a 40 mesh screen) ... of  old DuPont powder using a Lyman 55 charger.  The drop tube is a perfect fit to the case mouth.  The bullets will be seated with a light taper crimp using the last available CH4D seating die w/ shell  holder that was on their shelf from a small run 5 years ago.  The reloads will be shot as fixed cartridges

bnice,
I've pulled thousands of 22 RF. I made a long handled case holder. with that in my left hand and pliers in my right, I can pull bullets faster than priming a cases with a Lee or RCBS hand primer. Then you have the powder to reload them with and some extra lead for the pot. You also only have to buy 500 at a time that way.

It's really not as bad as it may sound.

I ordered a mould from David Mos in January my check was cashed immediately. And, he phoned and emailed me concerning the order right away. But, I haven't heard from him since. I emailed him last week (late April) about it without getting an answer. Has anyone heard from him lately?

i got an email late march saying 2-3 weeks eta.   sent a follow up query last week no reply yet.   My understanding is that he has a real fulltime job w/ mandatory overtime.  He's also working up that new action.

So I can understand the time lag.   however I really NEED my mould in time to cast bullets for the Memorial Day Match if I'm going to start shooting Centerfire offhand.

Waiting with great anticipation

Yes, in the same boat.  Many of us are waiting going on 3 months for the 40gr UMC 22LR molds we ordered.  Would be nice if he would let folks know his estimated delivery dates for open orders

Anyone get their mould yet or hear from David or Shelly? I understood I was buying a 'finished and ready to ship' mould off the add on this forum in January. That was from a conversation I had with Shelly on the phone. I'm still waiting and starting to wonder. I've lost his phone number and would like to have it if someone could send it to me.

Jerry - No to both items.  Others are waiting too and have tried the phone and multiple emails.  All I asked David for was an estimated date ... 4 to 6 weeks per David has come and gone a long while ago
I really don't like to say this publicly, but my payment in full for 2 molds was cashed within a week from the day I mailed it

davidmosmoulds@yahoo.com or phone at (479)216-6787.
