Be aware there are a lot of Kyber Pass rifles about that were made there in the local village forge, buy a native who owned a hammer, metal cutting chisel and a file. 

Put up pictures and get yours identified correctly, there are also the Gahendra and Nepalese versions. The markings of original rifles are often copied onto the fakes, so a good fake may not be easily recognised at first glance.

I'd be very wary about using anything but Black Powder in these old rifles.

There is also an excellent book called "The Martini-Henry Notebook" which is very well worth owning. Loads of data in that.

Smokeless in these rifles is pretty hard  -mainly due to the large case capacity and the rather radical bottleneck shape of the case.  staying with BP would be my recommendation, that's already hard enough...
Also, the CBC brass is pretty much semi-balloon head, and doesn't have the reserve strength for smokeless and potential overpressure. If your rifle has generous heafdspace, even BP can cause some issues.
If you really want to shoot smokeless, I'd advise you to get some solid-head cases (Kynamco, Bertram, Jamison) - but be lieve me, the rifle works best with BP.

Hmmm.  I guess I could always use  5 to 10 grains of Unique and use a round ball to go squirrel hunting!

I've ordered (should get here today) a foot of 1-1/4x12 all thread 4140 for making dies/die-holder for sizing down the brass.

I could well use it (in aluminum) for making two holders for brass.  The first, in a 1x1" x 2" long block to hold the cases in the micro-cutoff saw (holds well in the 'vice') for gross trimming; and the second, in a 1" diameter 1-3/4 long piece to hold the brass in my Wilson case trimmer.  No promblemo on time frame.

I've done 6 cases in a row successfully by incremental sizing in the Lee sizing die.  I'm trimming last, not first, to be able to discard the slightly ragged end.
