MVA's New B5 Winchester reproduction scope just arrived.  It's a nice piece of work. Everything is just like originals except the markings. MVAs' name instead of Winchester.  Had been looking at rough originals for some time before going on MVA's pre-order list for this one. It delivers under 600 bucks.

If you don't know the B's it's not a target scope in the way Lymans and Unertl's are. Knobs don't click, but are capable of precise adjustment. Micometer marked, 12 moa to a full turn.  8 graduations so each one is 1 1/2 Moa you can split the marks for 3/4 moa adjustment.  I figure you have about 48 MOA elevation avalable, same for windage. Scope is also micrometer marked for  Parallax on the front. 

Grasshopper spring just like original. Alignment is with a grove rolled into the scopes bottom not a Pope style rib like the Lymans and Unertl's .  MVA is making them in 3 4 & 5 X this one's a Five.  One thing I did not know is the mount is a bit smaller than standard Unertl mounts. It's unique to the B scope just like originals are.

It's a simpler less powerful lighter and smaller scope than the target scopes we normally use in Schuetzen. Just right for the Low wall rimfire I am setting up. Ordered out another set of blocks, am going to put them on a Marlin 39A, it's my Cowboy Lever Silhouette gun, with the scope will be able to shoot modern rifle Silhouette with it, see how it stacks up against the Anschutz shooters. Might surprise them.
