Hello, On my Pope barreled BSA, there is a globe front & it's not a BSA.  Spoke with Gary Quinlan, whome I purchased rifle from and he now thinks the sight could be British.  He said maker & I forgot to write down..Wa..something.  thick off-set band at top..only goes in 1 way for post to be vertical.  Does anyone have inserts like this?  Thanks.

It might be a Watson sight. I don't know where you can find inserts for these. Perhaps in the UK.

An awful lot of BSA target rifles were fitted with Parker-Hale sights. A photograph of the front sight would certainly help in establishing the makers identity.

If it was a Parker-Hale front sight, then there should be numerous spare fore-sight inserts available on the second hand market. Most of the BSA Target rifles had a small brass screw capped fore-sight insert holder attached to the forearm. The majority of shooters that I knew selected the insert then liked best and never used the rest.

Distant Thunder will make inserts for just about anything. Give them a call. You might have to send them insert that you have to copy.
