Looks like they are trying to make a .375 Win out of the 38/55.  Can't see any use for it in my 38/55 CPA Don't need jacketed bullets or high velocity.  CPA does set rifles up in some fairly high preassure cartridges though.

Be a good deer load in a new made Marlin Cowboy 38/55 or Ruger # 1 , anything else I would avoid.

"Fairly high pressures though" Ya like 220 swift, 222 rimmed, fairly high I quess! The new Stevens 44 1/2 from CPA is stronger than the Highwall ever was and the Highwall was chambered for some "Fairly high pressure loads" also.

Thing I worry about with falling blocks is not how strong they are but what is the gas path should a case let go.  CPA bottom of the breechblock there is an extra hole not seen in a 44 1/2 it's to let gas out  and down if it gets into the firing pin hole

Bolt guns generally have some escaping gas plan in mind, some good some not so good.
