My only source of loading data for the 28/30 is Phil Sharpes book. No 120 gr loads just 136 gr bullets as follows,

5 gr Fg/13 gr #80 (4759) = 1600 fps

There is a note that says,
"Use a card or felt wad, Breech seated it sould give 1" or less groups at 100 yards and 2-3" groups at 200 yards"

12.2 gr 2400 No velocity given.

Hope it helps you. I'm sure others have more info.

Kelver & Roberts (1.) 130 gr bullet - 4227-11.8 grs
Kelver (1.) 120gr bullet- 4227-11grs.
My Load (1.) 120gr bullet -AA#9- 12grs  (2.) 130gr bullet -4227 12grs
This isn't a great target.  It was shot with irons.  Caution! Verify all data before using.

My load is: Darr spitzer that weighs 134 gr with 25:1, 12.4 gr IMR 4227, Federal 100M primer used in Bertram brass (which takes the small primer). This chronographs at 1495 fps, and is very accurate at 200 yards.  Am using this in a Ballard with a Barry Darr 14" twist barrel.  The load that Paul Shuttleworth (CPA) recommends is 12.5 gr. of the same powder.
