Cigars, a good cigar, craving one right now.

The fence has a mark every half inch. I start by locating the point of the bit on the first mark center line on the pice to be drilled. Push point in and lock the quill. Then set the fence against the wood and line up the center marks and clamp in place. Drill one line of holes. Move the fence away and set the point on the bit to the next mark on the center line and do it all over again. Once you get going it goes perty fast. Easier done than explained.

Cigars, cant hardly afford a good cigar these days.  I watched John Wayne light one, take two puffs and throw it in the fireplace. Was watching The Searchers.  That made me groan.  Sad

That's a good setup; try a Forstner bit.

Yeah, those holes are a bit ragged.  Cheap drills.
