ledball - I was using the old trusty Eric Johnson/Creighton Audette Ballard with Lapua Xact ammo and a George Mitchell 35X scope.
hope to c u at the OGCA in Nov. - my score for the 200 yd single entry benchrest should read 239-2C.  Frank Zika's 238-3C was a real feat of good shooting as it was shot under much worse conditions than when I shot. - you all have a good day now - the rimfire - cdpersons

Rimfire that's a specification for good performance. Outfit like yours and somebody that can shoot will win. I had a Johnson Ballard with a B&L Balvar since sold off to a friend of mine who is a very good shooter. It's the winning bench rimfire gun around here.

What did the other top shooters use ? Rifle scope and ammo.

that list is from the sheet we used to work out the winners payouts.  the 22rf only matches are a cash-payout, non-medal event.  It does not reflect all of the match scores, only the top placing scores in each match.  we had quite a few more shooters and a lot of target entrys

FWIW I was shooting an original German Schuetzen Martini with a 16x Unrtl using discontinued Lapua Speed-Ace ammo for offhand.
In the 200 yard bench events---where I came nowhere close to placing I use a Durren conversion of an ASSRA marked Ruger#1, Gn Mtn barrel, stock wood and a 40x Mitchell scope with Wolf ME ammo.   I'm still WAY down the learning curve in learning to shoot in the wind.

Hmm, that's funny......

All I saw was empty Lapua boxes on his bench.

Rimfire puts"wildcats" in those boxes to make you think he's shooting Lapua.  ledball
