Most Meunier double sets look like this Chuck. The rear trigger lays almost flat.  Other makers did this also.

Joe,
Thank you for the picture. Answers my question and really shows off the quality of the rifle. That is a beautiful trigger guard. I am envious.

Not yet Fritz. Still cleaning the closet grime off of it. It has a perfect bore so will get shot.  I was surprised at the condition when it arrived. It looks as though it was put away new.

Maybe Friday I give it a try at the match. Too busy getting ready for that.
The bullets I have that fit the bore may be too long for the twist. The twist is left hand gain that ends at about 32 inches. I'll have to make a picket mold to fit when I have time. The bore is .400 X .410 six groove
equal widths.
This rifle is the new collection queen in my meager collection!  I had to share it.

Joe,

Any idea what town it came from or who might have owned it?

Might contact the auction company for info.   Wink

     Joe

Thanks for putting up the photo, .   .   .   .it a great looking piece.

May I ask you, how do you add the word "trigger" in a circle and the pointer ?

Did you first have to upload the image to your computer and then work it over with some software package such as "Photo Shop".  Would like to have that capability as well.     Wink

Took the picture. Camera to my pictures. Then opened the image in paint.  The paint program let me crop it and add the text and caption window.

I'm using Windows 7.  Dont know if Windows XP version has the text feature.

Photobucket has all these features too.

I can't let this thread slip away. Here is my 20ga RB. I bought it about 22 years ago for $85. I'm not sure if the 21" barrel is factory length or shortened (any idea's?) but, in the summer it's my everyday digger squirrel gun. Any one else out there have any RB shot guns?

According to my Flayderman's Guide, the shotgun was made in 30" and 32" barrel lengths, in 16 and 20 ga. chamberings, both plain and damascus steel.

How about a cased Hopkins and Allen medium frame with loading tools? Calibers 44WCF and 44XL shot. It also includes a portion of the original paste board box tacked into the lid. moodyholler

Very nice, I like H&A's, I have a complete 922 that I rebarreled with a Douglas octagon barrel and another 922 frame. I don't care much for the big frame but, I always wanted a medium fame but never found one. Yours is beautiful.

Cant make it bigger now Moody, it's a done deal. Can only make it smaller.

When I download an image on Photobucket, the image is the size my camera was set for. Then I can make it smaller.

Set your camera for the largest image then download to PB.

Once in PB you can edit the picture.

I like those cased rifles. A cased Hopkins and Allen must be rare, isn't it?        Huh
