	Thanks for the reply, Good luck with the load. Have you used IMR 4227 before, i've pretty good luck with it. I forgot something on the load info, i also do a slight taper crimp. :exclamation

	4227 has been my starting powder on most everything 32/40 and under. I've always used 4759 in the larger cases such as 45/70. I also use Unique in the 45/70 in the 10 gr range and it shoots well in the 45/70. I've had my 40/63 for over 5 years but, have only shot it once and that was with the 10 gr Unique load. 6" 10 shot groups at 200 was the result. We don't have any 40+ matches here so, it hasen't been a priority. One other thing is that I only shoot breech seated. I don't and never have shot LR, BP fixed. Frank

	How is the accuracy with the 4759, i,ve never used it. I have noticed that a lot of shooters use it.

	The only large case that I've used 4759 in is the 45/70 in three different charges. 28.0, 24.0 and 23.0 with a 430 gr spitzer bullet. Velocitys were 1518, 1376 and 1330 respectively. Groups were 2.27 (10 shots), 1.82 & 1.80 (5 shot) all at 100 yards. My best groups were a duplex smokeless and a 10.0 gr Unique at .60 and .81 respectively, again at 100 yards. Thats why the only time I had my 40/63 out that I used that same 10 gr charge of Unique. 40/63 reloading data is hard to come by, that why I asked for your load. Frank

	My only cartridge type single shot at the moment, a .375 H&H Number One. I use it for bear and elk hunting. The darned thing is surprisingly accurate, and dropped this bear at a tad over 300 yards. 	Sharps Model 1874, re barreled to a .45 not sure just what yet as it has not been shipped to me yet, next week I'll get it. Needs a complete rebuild but the barrel is a new one, not sure who the barrel maker was. Another project. Mike

	I'm new to the board and have enjoyed all of your pictures and unique rifles! Here are some pics of the Stevens 44 1/2 that my great-grandfather purchased new in .22 LR for small-bore match shooting. Came as a package with the J.C. Steven 6x scope and a mid-range Schuetzen rear sight - not sure of manufacturer. It will be headed off to CPA soon to have a .30-30 WCF barrel and CF breechblock fitted.
