Joe, J Louis;

Thank you for the welcome, and the gracious comments about the photos. I can't wait to hunt with them next deer season, I am looking for somewhere to hunt hogs until then.

Thanks again.

Matt

Hey Matt, what is that bottle neck cartridge in your picture? Looks like a 358 Winchester?

You got an extra barrel for that H&R ?

Matt hunted boar about two weeks ago, with a 45-90, blackpowder.  Watch how you shoot them, I went through the first one and another running in the field behind it.  Never saw the second one.  Down go two boar, what a boar rifle.  Both complete pass throughs with one shot.

Westerner;

The bottle neck round is 308, The reason I took the photo with both cases is to show my sister who was unfamiliar with the 45/70.

38-55;

Thanks for the info, I am looking forward to trying both of them out along with my 45lc.. I am throughly impressed with the 45 cal, and I am kicking myself in the caboose for not getting one years ago.

Latest little toy in 357 Mag and an eighteen inch barrel,   according to my bathroom scales it weighs four and a bit pounds.
Shoots well with a very nice trigger, it was a 22 RF target rifle originally.
It feels incredibly light in the hand and the photo does not do it justice. Regards, Roly.

Wow!   Something I've never seen.  Interesting.  Some kind of Martini/ Peabody style action?  German?

Hi Joe,

Something similar to a Martini but the lever acts on a cam and actually seals the breech. They are of a Norwegian patent, and called Tennstempel rifles.

This one is coming my way soon,Cal. 9,5x47R, no maker's name on it, appears to be some derivate of a Martini system, take-down system.
