I have two of their early actions, Nos 19 and 20 that I am sending back to them after having them engraved. These actions required a lot of hand work and after I received the actions I still had to have them send me two new hammers to properly cut the sear notches.  I also had my engraver checker the hammers in the fashion of the original guns.  My gunsmith (Ron Snover) has a long history of working on single shots these guns and was impressed after he redid their hammers. 

I'm having them make the rifles into their highest grade in 30-40 Krag and a rimmed .22 centerfire, probably 219 Zipper. 

These early actions were cast and due to the hand fitting required, they are now machining their actions in house. I don't think there is any real difference in the guns once they are fitted up, but they weren't going to make any money having to hand fit every action.  CNC machining is a better approach for them to show a profit.  I believe that they have the financial resources (McGowen barrels) to take the time to get the guns right. Their top grade costs about $1550. They are a true bargain compared to custom gunsmiths redoing some old action and charging a mint for their work.
