	Anyone here get the 418 on Gunrunner auctions? Yup, you guessed it--STILL trying to find a front patridge sight or pic of one, and that rifle had a scope but the original front sight Went for about $940 or so to a "MikeJ"

	Not me but I was watching it. Would have bid on it but iI just bought one on Guns America that had been advertised as a 414. Near as I can tell the front sight on it is not correct and not sure exactly what it is. Take a look at it and see what you think. Should still be listed. They take forever to remove listings when they are sold. I bought it for less than he was asking but still think I paid too much. Gun came in last week and is realy nice. Plan to shoot it this week. May want to sell the Winchester 8 scope. It was made specificily for the Winchester 75 target rifel. I already have one on my 75 military trainer.

	Slumlord44, Congratulations, that's the best looking 418 I've ever seen. What kind of scope do you intend to use. I think the Winchester is worth about, $300-$350. good luck, ...MIKE...

	Slumlord--I didn't see it until already sold--never knew about Gunrunner till last wk. Betcha that front sight on the Gunrunner gun might be the stock gold bead sight for the 418 1/2. Doesn't look like the elusive Lyman 104 I am searching for, which was slanted up from front to rear (lower at muzzle end)

	No bead. Just a plain thick blade. Does not look like a Stevens sight to me. Thinking about staying with tang sight or possibly a Lyman 438 Field. Stevens was using them at that time. I have two but neither one matches the condition of this 418. There is one on ebay right now that matches the conditon of my rifle. Watching it but not sure how much I want to spent at this time. My bank account has a limit. I also hand not heard of Gunrunner until somone here pointed it out to me. Their no return policy concerns me. I got burnt once on that issue. Only had to return one or two guns but I hate to not have that option.

	The 438 sold for $405. Nice scope but out of my budget at the moment. My Lyman 17A came in today. Condition matches that of the gun. Plan to install it next week and see how it shoots next week. Planed to shoot it today but had other things to do.
