Thanks Frank!

I don't think I'd do better than 5" at 200 yards even with my best load.   But my eyes would be the limitation.  Sure I wouldn't be fair to the load or the rifle.

btw... I mispoke.  It was 55.3gr of OE I was getting in the case without compression, not 53gr.    The .405 could well have less case capacity than the other parent case options.  I know the .405 base is a little small for the chamber and I don't have a clue about case thickness of the other optional donors.

Although I didn't shoot targets with them, I fire form some Win 405 brass for mine, as well as some 7 x 57R.

At the low pressures, I don't think any of the 3 kinds of brass that I fire formed, would be a problem with the head being small, it's even small with the 7x57 and 9.3x74.
