Had checkering and a nickel receiver.

Give it a good home--would'a bought it, but had to spend a couple of K to get the boat in the water for the season and didn't fit the budget right now! Sad

If you shoot it, let us know how it works out.

I had been watching it but did not bid. I thought there had been too many modifications to suit me. I am still looking for a nice unmolested one. It went for more than I was willing to pay. Also curious as to if anyone here bought it. Interesting gun, just not quite what I was looking for.

Kind of liked the checkering, and it had the scope mounts, not turned on by the reciever, but someone put some time in to the matching and checkered butt plate though
On the other hand, I would have sold off the Lyman 1A rear sight cause I have the right rear receiver sight that made it enticing.
But all told, just didn't want to find a way to pay for what it went for, and I follow my "toy budget" pretty strictly and never put them on a charge.  The boat (my other money pit) causes me enough trouble! Undecided

I did not see it.  I"m always shopping for a good 417 Walnut Hill.  But a nickle plated action?  Yuk.  At our house, getting the boat in the water means finding the paddles for the canoe.
