Hey,
How do I go by checking the head space on a recently purchased BSA Mk III? Also how does one change the head space?

Thanks

A mrk III is probably the best one due to the fact you can change it easily for various brands of ammo.
Hers how I do it''

Remove the extractor and I use a cartridge of the ammo I'm wanting to use.ie elly, lapua. etc.
Loosen the side screws push the action up fairly tight to the case and tighten the screws to retain the barrel...replace the extractor and test fire several rounds....
Be care not to get the headspacing to tight as it can cause the case to fire on closing.....
Ive found difference brands of ammunition require a little difference in headspace to make them perform and that's why I prefer the mrkIII over the rest due to the fact one can change headspacing readily..
