Hoppe's harmfull to rust-blue?

Hello, There was an article in The Single Shot Exchange on black-powder cleaning, and it said if gun had been proofed with smokeless at factory, to use Hoppe's to remove any copper fouling.  However, the author cautioned never to use this solvent agan because it will destroy a rust-blue finish.  I have never heard this before,  I know about the caution on nickle finish but never on blue.  I have several rifles I clean with Hoppe's that have both rust-blued actions and barrels and after twenty years of constant use can detect no harm.  How about Case-Coloring?  Again, I can detect no harm.  Now I don,t give them a bath in it, and wipe off any spills right away.  What are your opinions on this?  Thanks guys! Shocked

I think that whoever wrote that was sniffing too much original Hoppes No. 9!  It won't harm the finish, but it also won't do much with black powder fouling.  Perhaps that's where this came from?

There may be some confusion here. I have never heard that Hoppes removed bluing but I have read that it is one of the best ways to remove nickle. It has been suggested that when some of the rubbed down the outside of the gun, as well as the inside, all they were doing was soaking Hoppes into the stock and removing the nickle from the butt-plate. It should be noted that the formula is different today.

We collect some useful 3.0.2 Holy Paladin details in the game for you, Cheap wow gold buy wow power leveling aion wedding dresses (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) hope you like it. By the way, our website provide the cheapest  gold,if you are interested in it, please contact our customer service through live chat to know more of it.What is your rotation?First, during any boss encounter, you could try to keep Bacon active on yourself throughout the entire fight. Here you (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) can enjoy professional WoW powerleveling. This may seem quite odd, seeing as how Bacon is prepared to be put onto the tank while the Paladin raid heals. That can work while Bacon only procs from effective healing, and seeing as how the raid takes damage only (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) depending on the fight, it's not real ideal. Putting it on yourself will not only ensure you stay alive from focusing all healing on the tank, but it also procs Spiritual Attunement, which returns mana to you. That's huge for you.Second, you can have a try to (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) keep a Judgement of Wisdom on the enemy target all the time. It will provide you 10% spell haste, and B) Any melee andesidef mana user can hit the enemy target and receive mana back.Third, you could kill Kil'jaeden with the 3.0 specs and spells, you have yet to use Holy Light. (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) All you do is spam Flash of Light and Holy Shock, doing that you could keep the tank alive solo healing, that was a specific fight with end game gear. For you, it might be different. Play around with it a little, see what works best.zdm.
