Aw, not a total Plain Jane. she has an engraved trigger guard, top of the barrel is engraved for a couple of inches and inset with silver which in places has washed out, but I know what you are saying. The older Jaegers had carved stocks and sometimes more engraving. But being a almost Plain Jane is hard to do with the awesome damascus patern on this rifle. I'll take pictures and post them in a day or two. I have sixteen hours in today and we are not done yet, so after work tommorow I sleep, long long time.
On the Sharps, I had not realized that the end of the barrel was engraved until I poured in the chamber cast metal to get the bore dia and over poured so that it formed a button on top of the muzzle, when I pooped it out and looked I could not believe I had missed that bit of engraving. Engravers will engrave aanything, but this is the first muzzle I have seen engraved.
