Error: You are only allowed to send Personal Messages if you've reached a post count of 1!

This drives me crazy.  I bought guns and scopes off the forum. I'm trying to reply to a fellow that's asking me about my Unertl scope. I don't want to reply on the forum, and then it says because I haven't done any posts, I can't send back a personal message. How do I send a personal message?  I can't reply to questions asked of me.

I am also having this issue. I can receive PM's but can't send them.
